Computational imaging / Forward models / Optical metrology

I develop computational imaging methods around physics-aware forward models: connecting wave-optics simulation, optical system design, and data-driven reconstruction for problems where hardware encoding and computational inference must be designed together.

Current Research

Forward-model-driven Computational Microscopy

Extending Fourier ptychography and reflection-mode computational microscopy beyond scalar approximations toward high-NA, polarization-aware, and metrology-oriented imaging.

Vector Diffraction and Wave-Matter Interaction

Modeling polarization mixing, angle-dependent reflection, and local wave-matter interaction for optical systems where simplified propagation models become limiting.

Differentiable Optics-Mechanics Simulation

Building simulation frameworks that couple geometry deformation, wave propagation, and optical encoding for deformable, phase-coded, and adaptive computational imaging systems.
